The War Memorial Hospital (Online Exhibit Only)

The following photographs were a recent addition to the Museum archives. They are a remarkable and unique glimpse into the everyday functions of the War Memorial Hospital. They provide an intimate look into the lives of those who worked and practiced medicine there — the camaraderie of the staff is palpable in each photograph. These photographs were made by Doreen Nielson when she was stationed in Williams Lake between 1959 and 1962. We are very appreciative and grateful to Ms. Nielson for gifting us with this wonderful collection of very personal and enlightening photos.
